My Rant

It's good to have a rant every so often I think. I just thought I'd share a few things with you that you may or may not find interesting and please feel free to send me any comments or suggestions. I'd be happy to post these on my rant page:
So why SIX TWENTY TWO you may ask? I get asked this question a lot so here's why:
Many moons ago when I was travelling in and out of London from Stevenage to work in advertising I decided to get out of the rat race and start my own business working from home. The trouble was that I needed a company name...and quick! My train was due at 621 (which doesn't quite have the same ring) but the main board said it was delayed and was due to leave at 622. And that as they say is that!

If you look very closely at Paul Collingwood's England shirt it has the number 622 on it. I'm not actually sure why, and I've Googled it and I still really can't find a definitive answer, so If anyone would be kind enough to contact me and let me know then that would be great! I would imagine he's probably the 622 player to recieve a cap for England, and funnily enough on his twenty20 shirt or his one day shirt he has the number 162. |
The Battle of Issus:
The Battle of Issus was the battle fought between the Eastern Roman Emperor Heraclius and the Sassanid Empire at the strategic ground near the small riverine town of Issus below the difficult inland mountains in 622, now in the Turkish Province of Hatay. Emperor Heraclius transported his army through the Aegean sea and defeated the Persian army. It is also known as the 'Third Battle of Issus'.

Troop 622 is located in Southeast Columbus and a member of the Tri-Creek District of Simon Kenton Council. The Troop's charter is held by the Independent Order of Foresters. They're going to be celebrating their 40th aniversary in October 2009. Whoopeee!

I like to try and move Six Twenty Two along with the times so I'm now offering website development using Wordpress. 'But Wordpress is just blogging' I hear you say. Well yes, technically speaking Wordpress was developed as a blogging script, but in the right hands it's also now becoming a very powerful CMS system for web design and also is extremely effective with search engine indexing! Please contact me if you are interested in Wordpress as a design script.

How To Write A Song On The Guitar
I'm blessed (or cursed) with a creative mind and as well as playing in a covers band I also enjoy writing songs. So much so that I've set up a page dedicated to just that.
